5 Signs You Should Outsource Your Evaluation

I bought some replacement soil and amendments for my Earth Grow Box this summer. My box usually sits on my deck. In it, I plant the herbs I use when I cook. Do you know where my Earth Box is? Sitting empty and sad on my deck. I just could not get to it this summer.

Now I am wondering what fall/winter plants might work. But really, who am I kidding? I hardly go outdoors when it hits anything below 50 F.

I just could not get my butt in gear to do the task.

Can you relate? Maybe you’re a nonprofit or coalition leader and evaluation is like that chore you know you should do, and just can’t bring yourself to do it.

I get it. You’re busy. There are about a million other things you need to do.

Here are 5 signs that you might need to outsource your evaluation.

1. You have an evaluation plan and no time to execute it.

2. You have no evaluation plan and no time to execute it.

3. You have no data at all.

4. You have data, but it’s here, there, and everywhere.

5. Your organization just doesn’t have the internal technical capacity to do the evaluation.

Does this sound like you?

We all have those tasks we know we should do.

So don’t should on yourself.

You just need a process that works for you and your organization.

My new and improved Nonprofit Evaluation Capacity Self-Assessment Tool can help you get clarity on what to do next.

Imagine that your major funder report is due and you’re not scrambling, looking for the data you need at the 11th hour? Or maybe it's time to do your Annual Report and everything you need is right where you need it.

Ahhhh bliss.
