Meet the Experts

  • Dr. Susan Wolfe

    Dr. Susan Wolfe is the CEO and a Community Consulting with Susan Wolfe and Associates. She has over 37 years of experience as an evaluator. Her work focuses primarily on evaluating community change and state and national initiatives and working with community collaboratives, with a primary interest in addressing health and other inequities.

    Dr. Wolfe completed her Master of Arts degree in Ecological (Community) Psychology at Michigan State University and her PhD in Human Development and Communication Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas. She has made contributions to the field of evaluation through publications in the American Journal of Evaluation and New Directions for Evaluation and teaching workshops and presenting at the American Evaluation Association’s Summer Institute, the American Evaluation Association Annual Conference, and the Canadian Evaluation Society.

    She is the co-author (with Dr. Ann Webb Price) of A Guidebook to Community Consulting: A Collaborative Approach published in 2023 by Cambridge University Press.

  • Dr. Ann Price

    Dr. Ann Price is a Community Psychologist and evaluator and is President of Community Evaluation Solutions, Inc. a consulting firm she founded in 2004. Much of Ann’s work is with community coalitions and nonprofits with a focus on systems change. Ann and her team conduct evaluations in many areas including mental health, youth substance abuse prevention, youth development, foster care advocacy, education, nutrition, and public health. Ann is an active member of the American Evaluation Association (AEA) and the Atlanta Affiliate of AEA.

    She conducts workshops and training throughout the country on coalition development coalition evaluation, evaluation use and evaluation capacity. She is a regular presenter at the AEA national conference and the AEA/CDC Summer Institute. Ann is known for making the evaluation process easy to understand and uses a participatory approach the builds clients confidence and capacity.

    Her work is published in several peer-reviewed journals on topics related to coalitions as a mechanism for social change, success stories, prevention, and evaluation.
